“Amalanga Awafani” with Samthing Soweto vocals has been making rounds on social media and live events for a long time. Following popular demand, it’s finally out; however, Samthing Soweto is nowhere to be seen on the credits.
About a month ago, a fan asked Samthing Soweto when the song would be available on Apple Music. He responded by saying the delay had been due to artists and producers not agreeing on the share of masters, which at the time we didn’t know who exactly he was talking about.
On the 3rd of August 2024, Mas Musiq announced that the song was out and Samthing Soweto was not credited which immediately caused a fan uproar. On the artwork shared by Mas, “Amalanga Awafani” is credited as Mas Musiq & Lawd Weezy featuring TO Starquality & DJ Mpahorisa.
