South African hip-hop standout Usimamane officially releases his new EP titled “Baby Tai”, a focused and confident body of work that captures ambition, hunger, and forward momentum.
Released under Gamma.Africa, the EP arrives alongside its hard-hitting lead single “Racks,” an unapologetic money anthem for go-getters and self-starters.

“Racks is all about money, drive, and mindset,” says Usimamane. “That’s why I’m dropping it early in the year – it’s motivation for everyone who’s tryna get paid.
Inspired by a defining meeting with global hip-hop heavyweight Rick Ross in January last year, “Racks” channels discipline, focus, and an unfiltered pursuit of success.
“All we spoke about was getting to the money by all means necessary,” he adds. The release of Baby Tai holds personal significance as it drops at 12:01 AM on Usimamane’s birthday, marking growth, clarity, and the beginning of a new chapter in his journey.
Baby Tai is a six-track EP that blends rap, trap, and melodic R&B, delivering raw emotion, confidence, and introspection. The project reflects Usimamane’s evolution – from the realities of Umlazi to national recognition – while remaining rooted in authenticity.
