In his first-ever interview, Sir Trill spoke about many things about himself and his career including being gatekept by “Grootman” whom many believe is DJ Maphorisa.
Many artists, producers, industry peers, and more have been subbing DJ Maphorisa aka Madumane as a gatekeeper for the longest time.
Sir Trill who was also under his wing at some point is not any different and shares the same sentiments but he is one of the few that have publicly opened up about this.
In the interview on L-Tido’s podcast, Sir Trill said he never got any money from almost all the hit songs he was on and had to follow up occasionally.
DJ Maphorisa has always ignored allegations of being a gatekeeper and exploiting his talent but following Sir Trill’s interview he shared screenshots of a payment he once made to Trill.
In the same post, he swore at L-Tido who quickly responded and Prince Kaybee also had a voice on the matter sharing sentiments of DJ Maphorisa being a bully.
