Blxckie is one of the rappers that have been trending for dissing other artists such as Usimamane, then Lucasraps and now he trends again for subbing Dr. Peppa who has dropped files in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
Unlike Lucasraps and Usimamane, Dr. Peppa is not an artist but a hip-hop DJ and producer. He was very instrumental in both Blxckie and Lucasraps’ come-up.
Many of us got to know him for his song “What It Is” featuring the late Riky Rick and Lucasraps but he has been a culture shifter for the longest time.
Before lending a hook on Dr. Peppa’s hit single Mntase, Blxckie told Sunday Times “It was tough,” during those days and went on to say, “But uPeppa helped me through ’cause he knows ukuthi even if it’s five people there in front [in the audience] wilding out to the music, that’s enough. At least you caught someone.”
