For the past few days, Lekau Sehoana has been trending on X (formerly Twitter) because of alleged news that he faces eviction at his Waterfall Estate property for owing over R100K in rent.
According to ZiMoja, the businessman’s family became homeless due to non-payment of their monthly rent at the estate, adding that, the decision to evict his ex-wife and son came after he didn’t settle the R35k rent after making the necessary arrangements.
These reports come after the lease agreement between the businessman and the Waterfall Residents Developers stated that he owed them R35k every month and that his failure to default payment started late last year making it almost R100k in rental fees Lekau needed to pay.
Briefly News added that Lekau’s financial troubles have affected their son as besides not being up-to-date with their monthly rent the son had been kicked out of school due to school fees being owed.

In a statement shared on social media, Sehoana has clarified that he hasn’t stayed on the property in question for over 3 years as he left it with his soon-to-be ex-wife when they separated in 2021.
He mentions that he kept it in his name and continued to pay rent for the sake of his son despite the issues with his mother. In a screenshot shared along with the statement, we see Sehoana talking with the landlord via email that he found out his soon-to-be ex-wife had other people occupying the property.
