jorja smith rocking the daises

Rocking the Daisies is proud to announce internationally acclaimed UK R&B songstress Jorja
Smith as one of its headlining acts for 2026, set to take place between 2 and 4 October at the scenic
Cloof Wine Estate in Darling.

Universally beloved for her soulful voice, emotionally rich songwriting, and critically acclaimed
albums Lost & Found(2018) and Falling to Flying (2023), Jorja discovered her love for music at six
years old through her father, who was part of a neo-soul vocal group called 2nd Naicha in the ’80s
and the early ’90s.

Born in the West Midlands region of the UK and writing her first song at just eleven years old, Jorja
has since carved a name for herself as one of this generation’s most compelling voices, garnering
accolades, including a GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist (2019), a win for Best British
Female Artist (2019) at the prestigious Brit Awards, and multiple Billboard placements over the last
decade.

Lauded by fans and peers alike, she also boasts collaborations with fellow contemporary
superstars including Drake (Get It Together), Kendrick Lamar (I Am), Burna Boy (Be Honest),
Stormzy (Let Me Down), and Mzansi’s very own Major League DJz (Come With Me).

Jorja Smith will take the stage in full bloom at Daisies this year, marking her first-ever performance
on the African continent — a defining moment for both the Walsall-born songstress and South
African fans.

Building on its 20-year legacy, the festival continues to celebrate the uniqueness of South Africa as
a premium global destination by referencing the vast diversity in flora, fauna, and the richness of
culture.

Borrowing inspiration from the natural phenomenon of the blooming of the iconic South
African Cape Daisy in the wildflower region of Darling, Western Cape, which occurs every year
from late September, Rocking the Daisies enters year 21 with a refreshed WELCOME TO THE
GARDEN maxim that embraces summer nostalgia and reconnects audiences with the childlike
wonder that good music and good times can evoke.

Daisies will once again deliver the beloved experiences fans have come to expect — from world-class
music stages and curated food villages to immersive art installations and fun activations.

This year also introduces exciting new elements designed to elevate the festival journey, offering fresh ways for attendees to connect, explore, and play.

More artist announcements and partner collaborations will be revealed in the coming weeks,
promising an even more dynamic and diverse programme. Be sure to stay tuned to all Rocking the
Daisies platforms.
