Podcast and Chill host, MacG called Robot Boii to get his side of the story on the sexual harassment allegations raised by a YFM drive-time show producer, Ngcebo Mcobothi against Jazziq and his answer was “Jazziq issued a statement.”

This response got him in a hot soup on X (formerly Twitter) with many saying he is protecting Jazziq and must be held accountable for it. Everything he posted thereafter received backlash with some people tagging brands he is working with to cut him off.

Just a recap of the story. Jazziq, Robot Boii, and their team were at YFM for a scheduled radio interview. A lot happened from their arrival until they left the station but the key moment is when they entered the elevator which is where Ngcebo alleges the sexual harassment took place.

Jazziq took to the socials to issue a statement and a video showing this moment. In the video, we see Ngcobo entering the elevator that already has two people in it from Jazziq’s team before he follows in. YFM said they unfortunately don’t have CCTV cameras inside the elevator and distanced themselves.

From the video shared by Jazziq, we see him enter the lift after Ngcebo and two of his team members got in first. A few seconds later we see Robot Boii and others who were still outside including the videographer also following after taking pictures with fans.

Based on this, in our opinion, this means the sexual harassment could have happened in two cases, either when Jazziq got in with 2 witnesses from his team present or when the lift was going up in the presence of everyone.

Based on Jazziq’s statement and what Robot Boii said on the matter, Jazziq only interacted with Ngcebo in the elevator when everyone got inside.

In a recent episode of Popcorn and Cheese, Robot Boii opened up about the matter to his co-hosts Mpho Popps and Tsiti claiming Ngcebo made up the story because all he witnessed was JazziQ saying how warm she looked as she was wearing a blanket-like dress.

He further went on to say, “The saddest thing is when victims come out, it’s going to be harder for them to be believed.”

“The law is the law. A case has been opened. The truth is in the statement. We are waiting because we are doing things the right way. The same way it should have happened from her side, where she should have opened a case.”
