South African global popstar, Tyla, has entered another record in the history books becoming South Africa’s youngest musician ever to win a Grammy Award!
We saw this one coming and if Tyla wasn’t the one taking this award home, it would have been a sad and unfair case. Tyla won the Best African Music Performance award for her Billboard charting and breakout single “Water.”
She was nominated in this category with fellow African artists Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Davido, Asakhe, Musa Keys, and Olamide. This is Tyla’s first GRAMMY Award and the biggest award she has ever won in her career.

“Water” is still charting on Billboard Hot 100 and we are expecting “Truth or Dare” to enter the Hot 100 chart following its recently released music video and Grammy win.
